Top 3 New WordPress Themes of the Week

  1. Thematic(Live Demo) – This simple, open-source theme is a great choice for those looking for the minimal and clean theme feel.
  2. Word Press’d(Live Demo) – This theme mimics the administration panel developed for WordPress 2.5. It is quite the novel, yet versatile, theme.
  3. Brightness(Live Demo) – My personal favorite theme this week is a magazine-style theme. Words won’t do this one justice. Make sure you click the live demo link for the full effect.

Top 3 New WordPress Plugins of the Week

  1. WP-Wall is a sidebar widget that allows your readers to add a quick shout-out or comment about your blog. Comments are quickly added and easily moderated.
  2. Live Blogroll automatically turns your blogroll into much more than just links. When a reader hovers over a link in your blogroll, the most recent post headlines and excerpts will be shown.
  3. WP Easy Uploader is one plug-in that is long overdue. This plugin will make your blogging life easier by allowing you to upload new themes, plugins, or any type of file within your browser. No longer do you have to go through the hassle of using an FTP program to upload files.
