I don't see the harm either, nor do ads take away from the quality of content. There are always exceptions though. Like, having to rifle through ads to FIND content. That's never pretty. On my blog, I am hoping they get to know me, drop their guard and hopefully purchase my products. With that in mind, I don't know if I want to put adsense on the site and make pennys per click; nor do I want to put that annoying Kontera ones either.
